- Small turnout pens
- Horse walker
- Lunge arena
- School with mirrors
- 2.5 furlong round gallop leading onto a 3.5 uphill gallop
Rehabilitation Techniques
Learn about some of our favourite rehabilitation techniques and the equipment used in the rehab process:
Niagara Equissage Pulse Massage Pad
Equissage Pulse delivers powerful cycloidal (three-way) vibrations to the whole body, and is scientifically proven to improve local blood circulation, lymphatic drainage, relaxation and joint mobility and can help in rehabilitation from a multitude of injuries or persistent conditions.
Optimus Lumina
The Optimus Lumina is proven to relax muscle tension and spasms which relieves pain, inflammation and chronic conditions such as arthritis and overuse injuries. Using the device gives pain relief through red light therapy releasing endorphins.Blue light therapy is very effective for avoiding infection and decreasing the bacterial load on wounds already infected.
EquiAmi Lunge Aid
encourages the horse to work in a soft, round outline, to work with engagement of the hindquarters, and to carry himself. It works by suggestion and reward, and by connecting the whole horse.
Optimus Lumina
We love our Optimus Lumina and it is an invaluable part of our rehab kit that is used every day on our rehabilitation horses and permanent residents to keep them all happy and healthy.
From treating minor wounds to mud fever, tendon and ligament strains and recovery from surgery, the Lumina is used on the horses for all of these and more.
When it isn't getting used on the horses we are using it on ourselves so we know it really does work!
